Got a P-1 but the thing is all bent up, works fine however. Who knows where I can get a new metal cover, back, and threaded riser?

We'll deal with it when they do their next production run if I decide to keep this one. Cool dude.

i must admit this thread is a mystery me... a banged up P-1?
I imagine a P-1 endowed lunchbox tumbling off a remote rack somewhere, the sturdy P-1 surviving and continuing to process the overheads with detail and authority through the remainder of a live set as the engineer chooses not to move the rack, for fear of dislodging the now twisted cables.
As the set progresses a stage-diving fanatic is tossed back into the audience, crowd surfs all the way back to FOH, and is dumped summarily into the sound booth, landing atop the displaced lunchbox. The P-1 is still functioning in all it glory despite having suffered a bent metal cover, back, and threaded riser. The crowd surfing offender looks up, drooling beer all over the A-designs laden rack and says "Dude, that kick drum sounds awesome! Is that an EM Silver?"
At the end of the set, the engineer muses as he cleans up the tangled beer-soaked mess... "where can I fix my P-1? I know! I'll head over to Lunch Box Hero..."
And yes, A-designs rules. Keep the P-1. Don't forget to try it on distorted guitars :-)
As you were. :)

lol, my imagined scenario is quite different:
Clumsy shipping clerk knocks bare unit off high shelf in warehouse. Glances left, right. 'Fug it.' Quickly puts it back on high shelf and walks away.
I want to keep it, but the vendor is not making any reasonable concessions so I might have to send it back. Only to resume finding another.

hah! alright... I'll buy this version of the story provided the unit does not smell of beer.

Unit is on its way back for a replacement. Guess they will roll the dice on a sucker other than me. Looking forward to an un-bent up P1!!!!!!!!!! Bonus points: PM me and I will tell you which dealer tried to pass this thing off as "used in good condition".
