hello,

thanks for this nice page!

unfortunately i do not have a chance to have a look at a lunchbox in my region myself, so i would like to ask a few questions.

i am looking for a solution to use two 500 modules (each needing one slot), in the most compact and lightweight way.

concerning the 500-6B 6 slot lunchbox, what are the dimensions?

what is the weight of it (without modules)?

is it possible to demount the handle?

is the thread of the screws wich are used to mount modules inch or metric?

would an a-designs 500HR be handier?

hopefully my english is not to confusing,
thanks and greets

the dimensions are 5 1/4'' tall x 12 3/8'' wide x 7 1/2'' deep
i will have to check the weight another time, mine is loaded and in use.
the handle could be remove as well as the rubber feet on the side but you will have to be a bit mechanically inclined.
the screws a #4x40 that is a #4 at 40 threads per inch.
i also have a A-Designs 500 HR and love and use it. works fine no issues.
as to which is better, that would have to be your call: )~

Anything by A-Designs is great, the other option for a two space solution is the Atlas Pro audio Revolver. (http://www.atlasproaudio.com/atlasrecordinggear.html)

what is the weight of it (without modules)? See if we can get this for you.

would an a-designs 500HR be handier? You would have to decide whether you want a lunchbox format (API type or Revolver Type) or the A-Designs which can be rack mounted. How will you be using the unit?

i never thought about getting the weight of any of these, but it seems reasonable that we we should?
maybe get the weight on the different 500 format card as well?
i might look at getting a scale just for this, but not sure when.

thank you for your replies!

the revolver looks very handsome to me,
but in my situation it would not be economical to order it from europe.

i asked about weight and size because i will carry the unit around with me a lot
and overweight on flights can get expensive.

the intended use would be a eq and a compressor to control a constantly varying live vocal sub mix.

greets!
