Eyeing the S&M AUDIO EQSM1 or Arsenal Audio (JDK) V14? Should I give a look to something else? Looking for something on individual tracks, vocals, etc., High Pass filter a plus. Opinions please!!!

I really liked the S&M EQ when I used it. Its sounds like 80B EQ. Very gritty, and ballzy, in a good way of course. I like these for drums and electric bass/gtr. The JDK V14 is clean, and not too character oriented. I'm kind of all thumbs when I use that thing, and I'm not really sure there's an app I can point out that its good for, but I think its a good module for utility precision.

most know i m a fan of the V14s, but as Adam mentions knobs could be improved. but i do like these, to me they are a clean neutral EQ.
the S&M really trips my trigger most on electric guitars stuff.
for the most part when Affordable EQ's get mentioned, it is very difficult not to look at the Great River Harrison 32 EQs, these are a very very very nice!

Thanks for the tips!! I certainly don't need any more "utility precision" eq's. I got plugins for that. I want a tasty eq, the one that always makes tracks sound better. Open to suggestions.. ;)

i think i would have to agree, but would say the same about the Electrodyne 511 EQ, as to the 500 format that is. Dan hit the ball out of the part with these, as well did Ken!
i can not say enough good about these two EQs.

Yea the 32EQ is special. Definitely check one out.
I've also grown quite found of the Chandler Little Devil EQ, which is as thick as a brick and really colored. Its as creamy as New England Clam Chowda!!! They are like lightening bolt "N" console eq.
