Just ordered my next addition to my lunchbox, should have it tomorrow or Friday. Can't wait to get to work with it! Next purchase will be an EQ.

Verdict is ... I love it! Not as heavy handed as the 1176 side of my 6176. And I like the subtlety of the De-ess switch. I've only done vocals (SM7B -> 512C -> 525) and used a lot of variation with the settings, but loved the results. I'm going to try either miked guitar amp, or direct bass next. As a guy that's new to the lunchbox thing, I was more into the portability aspect and the coolness factor, but I have no regrets over the sound so far! I'm up in the air about the next addition -- either a 527 or a 550 (A or B).

i hope to have a pair of the 527 comps in soon one at least!
every-time i think i will happen something comes up and i am broke: (~

The meters on my pair of 525s get stuck at 10dB when I power them up. Nonetheless, I like the 525 on bass.
