music type is rock/powerpop/prog/alternative acoustic

I currently have Buzz Essence and BAC500.

What would be a good third comp to pick up to compliment the other two.

Try Roger Foote's P3500 compressor.

Yip. The Foote Pico compressor is supposed to be amazing. I love the hell out of my Purple Actions, and for rock it would be extremely handy to have a Standard Audio Level-Or around. Plus they're relatively cheap.

Others? I'm dying to check out the Chandler Little Devil comp, and you can never go wrong with an API 525.

You may be better served by having a stereo pair of anything that a variety of mono everything...

Just an opinion

no argument from me and a good point but I already have a Smart C2 and a Pendulum Audio ES-8 to handle my 2 buss needs.

That's why my question concerned adding a 500 series comp.

Working, man...mercilessly, then not at all, then mercilessly. Starting this week, back to relentless.

You add the stereo link module to the FCS P3500 and you have another killer bus comp that does things the Smart and Pendulum won't do.
