Also a review of the API 527 (JDK R22 too) in the new Pro Audio Review. Russ Long has some good things to say about the 527.

Cool. What is the VCA btw? Is it their own or a THAT or something?

i have not opened it up as it is on loan.
i am wanting to buy this but not sure if i can swing it. to many automobile brake downs this month.

Sorry man. I'm afraid I've lost touch with reality. I drive an '02 Tracker (Suzuki Vitara) that passed 200,000 miles this month, and only one thing has ever broken on it. I've forgotten what it's like to have car repairs like I used to. I can't bear to part with this thing. Of course, brakes aren't in the "things that are broke" category are they?

my truck is a 02 with a 180.000 miles.
it is is really nice shape and clean but the cam censer went out and the guy that normally dose work for me said a special tool was needed so i just told him to take it to a dealer.
i about had heart failure when i got the bill!
they replaced the censer, put new intake o-rings on, and a fuel filter.
i mostly drive a 80 model el camino but i needed to do some work on it so i got this truck and the el camino became a spare.

Yeah, dealer mechanics can have that effect. I've owned a series of imports, mostly british and italian cars, and I always have had a real car to drive when these were broken. Fortunately, I grew up on a farm, and learned mechanics at an early age. I hate to think how much $ i would have spent taking the imports to a dealer.

i think these guys are just taking advantage of people at the rate they charged.

i was not very happy: (~
i would drive my El-Camino more but it only gets maybe ten miles per gallon.
