Metal work is finally in, here are some pics.

The legending is an ink-jet printed film, just for the prototype, the final printing will be an industrial film, the type used for car & out door advertising, i.e. high quality, long lasting.

I will put up an order form shortly for the bits I am selling.

The post was taken down as it was deemed to be marketing! However I have it as a text doc

I am taking orders on these, LBH can you open a Bake Sale thread?

Basically an updated & more versatile implementation of the datasheet that became the API 553... 2 freqs per band instead of one.

I will be selling PCB & mos of the parts for this. Those parts I am not selling are freely available.

Thx Peter

hi Peter!

the Bake Sale forum is not up and running just yet, i assume the members can just email you.

so will this only be a DIY project, or will you be selling finished units?
for those that may not know, Peter is the man behind the MINT JULEP i love so much!

Pan

This is a DIY unit, I will be doing a commercial unit later in the year once the filter project is sorted. It will have more facilities than the DIY unit, tho......

Hi Peter, feel free to post info in this thread on how to reach you/order/etc, the bake-sale will be opened once we install i-trader, which requires us to change our forum version as well, so we have been admittedly procrastinating on this (big job). LBH won't close this thread, promise.:)

Hi all

I have finally got all the bits in place & am happy with the project I will be selling the following:

O/P transformer (similar to API 2503) $21
Coils (1H & .1H) $17 each
PCB $17
Partial parts kit: Wima caps, toggle switches x3, 4PDT switch, DIL8 tulip socket, DOA sockets x6 $25
Metalwork (Front panel + side panel) $20
Shipping will be $30-00 for a single kit, I will have to check for larger orders & confirm with the buyers
Please add an extra 4% for Paypal fees

My lead time is 3 weeks here for all the parts to be made, & shipping is 2-4 weeks.
I will leave this order open until Sunday 4th June so I can get final orders in on the Monday morning.

Front panel will be anodised aluminium with a industrial sticker for the legending.
The side panel will be powder coated.
I will not be doing DOA boards or other parts, ther are plenty of alternatives available now.
I will speak to Colin at AML about Omeg pots for this project http://audiomaintenance.com/
Jeff Steigers API style knobs look great on this puppy, he also has DOA kits http://classicapi.com/

Pricing update 1-7-2009

Owing to the quantities on order, I have been able to negotiate slightly lower prices on the transformers, coils & front panels. Unfortunately the shipping stays the same up to 2 kilogrammes, over 2kg it goes via a different service which is slightly cheaper as the parcel gets heavier.

I wil post final prices over the next few days.

Mine are assembled, tested and awaiting metal. Thanks for all your hard work on this project, Peter. After initial testing only, I can already tell these things are going to rock.
